Workpiece fixation is particularly critical in metrology. One must ensure that the workpiece is fixed on a measuring machine without clamping it. Otherwise the measuring results would be falsified. This can have fatal consequences. The flexibility of the clamping systems is also extremely important. It must be possible to convert them quickly and easily. Our extensive modular system allows for the quick creation and adaptation of fixtures. In addition to significant time savings when creating fixtures, further cost savings are achieved through reliable measuring results and the flexibility of the system.

The modular clamping system kit from THOME Präzision is a highly effective and economical clamping system. A large number of different components, such as supports and swivel holders, allow flexible and easy assembly. The design and configuration of the individual components allow for different applications and an almost unlimited number of possibilities when assembling the individual parts. All SPANNFIX components are compatible with the T-slot clamping plates and all other plates that have an M6 thread. The components are made of stainless steel and anodized aluminium for corrosion resistance and durability.

The special feature of the Alukeep clamping system is the patented Single Joint System (SJS). With only one single joint, different elements can be connected very quickly and easily in one construction. This saves time and thus increases efficiency. Only an Allen key is needed for the construction. Alukeep is a modular system for fixing workpieces for inspection by tactile or scanning measuring devices.

There is a wide range of different components that guarantee the optimal fixation of the component. Alukeep follows the principle of producing only useful and necessary elements and thus keeping costs low in contrast to other clamping systems. The components are made of duralumin and surface treated to guarantee high strength. Manufactured in Italy, the manufacturing processes are subject to the highest quality standards. The range of applications of the Alukeep clamping system is almost unlimited thanks to its high flexibility. It has already been successfully used in the automotive industry, aircraft construction, biomedicine and foundry industry.

Advantages of the Alukeep system over a standard system

With conventional modular systems, many different connecting parts are often required. This can quickly lead to problems when connecting different components. With Alukeep this is different! Thanks to the Single Joint System, only one single connecting part is needed to connect all the different components together. This is extremely advantageous in many respects, as it not only saves money on purchase, but also simplifies the erection of scaffolding, thus saving considerable time.

Due to the ingeniousness of the connecting part, additional parts such as screws, seals, washers and tools for assembly can be dispensed with. This minimizes costs while maximizing the proportion of useful parts. Furthermore, the Alukeep clamping system is characterized by its simplicity. Even workers who use Alukeep for the first time will understand the system in a few minutes and will be able to quickly fix components securely for measurement. This way, prototypes and individual parts can also be fixed in an uncomplicated way. When the system is not in use, it requires little storage space and is easy and space-saving to store.

The Pratzen clamping system is suitable for use on 3D coordinate measuring machines, engraving and spark erosion machines, as well as for all clamps that require only low clamping and holding forces. The possible clamping force (approx. 500N), depending on the selected lever ratio of the clamping claw support, is achieved by tightening the nut on the knurl. If the clamping elements have jammed, the nut can be loosened with an open-end wrench.

Clamping claws, nuts and clamping bases are made of high-strength PBT plastic, only the studs are made of anodized aluminum. This leads to significant weight advantages and corrosion resistance against hand sweat. The clamping system also scores with its easy handling and many possible combinations. Workpieces can thus be clamped easily and quickly without deforming or damaging them.

The clamping system ALUMESS is a comprehensive system for fixing workpieces, which is based on a perforated plate. The perforated plate is screwed to the granite measuring plate of the measuring machine, on which the individual modular elements can then be positioned.


Simple, fast and economical

The ALUMESS clamping / palletizing system consists of many modular elements, which are easily, quickly and economically assembled to positionally accurate and reproducible clamping devices.


Flexible

The system is mainly designed for flexible use on coordinate measuring machines. Further fields of application are sample and prototype construction, laser marking and laser processing as well as the use as assembly device.


Stable

The basic elements are directly screwed together and thus form a stable, rigid connection. Due to the space-saving design of all components an optimal accessibility to the measuring point is achieved.


Reproducible

Positioning bores in the pallets, plates, strips and angles as well as a comprehensive range of support, positioning and stop elements enable a positionally accurate, reproducible design of every clamping device. This means that only the part-specific elements that have been created as required need to be stored for later reuse.


Palletizable

Clamping plates are quickly and easily screwed to the base plate, which is mounted on the measuring machine, using the appropriate fitting screws. This reduces the actual setup process to a minimum. Clamping devices are mounted on the clamping plates outside the machine in advance of the measurement, which considerably increases the degree of utilization of the measuring machine. The simultaneous mounting of several pallets on the base plate further increases the degree of utilization. Fully loaded base plates can, for example, be measured at night after upgrading without the need for personnel.


Construction of the components

Most of the components are made of high-strength aluminum and then anodized, the base plates are hard-coated. A hard-coated version of the remaining components is available on request. Steel accessories are supplied in a high-quality, corrosion-protected version.


Planning and documentation

If required, a CAD parts library is available for computer-aided advance planning and documentation of clamping devices.
